Procedure of entering the university in Slovakia
In Slovakia it is possible to study at several universities with different specialisations. The only condition to enter study is the secondary/high school graduation. It is possible to study in the official language of the country (Slovak language) or in an English programme. Study programmes in languages other than the mentioned ones depend on each university.
In case you are interested in university study in Slovakia, it is necessary to send the following documents to our address by e-mail, fax or post:
Photocopy of valid travel passport
Photocopy of the secondary/high school leaving report
Results of further education (if applicable), such as reports of not finished university study, extended courses or similar
A letter containing the name of the university you would like to study at, the specialisation you wish to take, your contact address (e-mail or fax no.), preferable language of instruction
We will send you a Letter of acceptance, which contains:
Affirmation that you can start your study
Information about the year of study you belong to
Information about tuition fee for one academic year
The university bank account number
Affirmation about provision of accommodation in the students hostel
Language of tuition / instruction
Date of beginning of your study
The fee for registration and issuing of the Letter of acceptance is 70 EUR (for the charges of an express delivery company). It is necessary to pay to the bank account No. 2916780077, bank code 1100, swift address TATR SK BX, IBAN code 35 1100 0000 0029 1678 0077, account name: Mohamed El Taifi, within one week from the date we inform you that your Letter of Acceptance was issued, so that we could send it to you. At the bank transfer, do not forget to state your name as a variable symbol.
How to get student visa
To get the student visa, you have to apply at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in your country.
Steps to be taken:
Get the statement of your bank account in your home country, showing that you have minimum 3500 € on it. The statement must not be older than 90 days.
You must have the Letter of Acceptance from a Slovak university.
The abstract from the Criminal Register from your country of origin / birth or country of permanent residence – one of them is sufficient. It must not be older than 90 days. (The document has to be verified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in your country)

The document affirming that you have accommodations in Slovakia (it is stated in the Letter of Acceptance).
Doctor’s certificate stating that your health state is good and you do not suffer from any contagious disease, spreading of which could be considered criminal activity. The certificate must not be older than 90 days.
All the above-mentioned documents should be given to the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in your country. There you must also fill in the Application for student visa. The Embassy should give you the visa within 90 days (90 days is maximum limit).
In case you need to travel to Slovakia before you get the student visa, you can fill in one more Application form at the Embassy. It is the application for C-type tourist 90 days multi-entry visa. Thus you can travel immediately after you get the tourist visa. The student visa will be given to you in Slovakia. But it is inevitable to apply for the student visa at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in your country.
It might be very helpful to get Schengen visa as well. With a Schengen visa, you may enter one country and travel freely throughout the Schengen zone.
Inform us, please, about your arrival at Slovakia at least one week in advance.
In Slovakia, you will need to:
take a medical examination; it costs 250 €,
get an affirmation about your accommodation,
get the health insurance; it costs 350 € per year.
These are fees necessary to pay to obtain a student visa in Slovakia.
